Crazy Dog Blonde 4%

Looks like lager but with taste, aroma and body. So it’s not like your average lager at all. We called it ‘Blonde’ because it goes down easily and  is great if you want a bit of a session.

Crazy Dog IPA 4.5%

IPA (India Pale Ale) should be pale in colour, strong and rammed with hops. Its a British invention from when the beer needed to be preserved long enough to get out to the troops in India. Hops and alcohol do the trick. Evidence suggests that the beer was supposed to be diluted in theatre but the troops thought better of it and so the IPA was born. Our IPA is 4.5% because we don’t need to ship it on a sailing boat to India. It is however packed with enough Brewers Gold and Challenger hops to preserve a dead race horse.

Crazy Dog Stout 6%

We hate making stout because it’s messy. We only make it because people keep asking us to. Its 6%, packed with all sorts of complex flavours and is a favourite amongst beer connoisseurs as well as tramps.

What’s with the Crazy Dog?

Crazy Dog (our foster mutt that we got for £30) first entered the beer scene in 2008 when Crazy Dog Stout (a bit of an extreme stout) got in the finals of Sainsbury’s best beer in Britain competition.

The stout was named Crazy Dog after the mental mutt ate a couple of pounds of spent grain and got belly ache.

Since that time the beer has developed a bit of a cult fan-base and the dog has got more than a bit above his station. So much so he has demanded another couple of  off the wall beers to be brewed in his honour.
